Africa Bible College Student Pastor Gerald Mafabi

Africa Bible College student Gerald Mafabi serves as a pastor in Mbale, Uganda.  Pastor Mafabi shares his equipping story about how he is immediately putting to use the biblical training he receives at the Fully Equipped Bible Institute, including learning how to study God’s Word in context and correctly apply it to modern day life challenges, as well as  strengthening his communication and counseling skills.

In Uganda, legislation is pending that will require pastors to have bachelor’s degrees or their churches will be closed by the government.  This is an urgent situation, as neighboring Rwanda recently has closed over 10,000 churches where pastors did not have bachelor’s degrees.  As an African online Bible college student, Pastor Gerald’s pursuit of his bachelor’s degree at the Fully Equipped Bible Institute very well may protect his church from being shut down.

Pastor Gerald is attending our online Bible college on an academic scholarship, provided by Hope Church in Springfield, Missouri.  We are deeply grateful for their sponsorship of Pastor Gerald and other African pastors.  The difference that biblical equipping of pastors is making in Uganda is dramatic as they are better able to push back against false doctrine. build healthier churches, and more biblically equip believers who are a part of transforming their communities and country as serve within their local churches, prisons, hospitals, evangelism, orphanages, schools, and practical helps outreaches.

We have a waiting list of pastors and Christian leaders in developing nations who have applied for scholarships, but our scholarship funds are exhausted.  If you, your church, your family, or business can help sponsor biblical education that keeps church doors open and fully equips pastors and Christian leaders who otherwise would have no access to formal biblical training, learn more HERE about sponsorship.
