Course Description:

This course equips leaders to navigate conversations when stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. Whether at work, in ministry, or at home, the leader will learn how to maintain productive dialogue when others ineffectively navigate high-stakes conversations.

Course Objectives:

  • To equip students with fundamental study and application of biblical principles that direct  productive communication and conflict resolution.
  • To expose students to the principles and theories of effective communication in the ministry and the marketplace.
  • To introduce students to the biblical nature of conflict, how to identify common styles of conflict management, and how to manage conflict acceptably and productively.
  • To examine various communication models and  the role of self-concept in communication.
  • To gain understanding of nonverbal messages and the role of stress in conflict management.
