God's Faithfulness Shines the Brightest in the Darkness
Day 3 – Uganda Report from Dr. Steve
Dr. Steve was profoundly impacted by the faithfulness of God, shining brightly inside the darkness of a women’s prison in Uganda. The justice system is different in Uganda, and people are imprisoned pending a trial. Some of the women he spoke with have been in prison for several years, trying to raise their children while imprisoned. Dr. Steve was given the opportunity to share the love and hope of Jesus, encouraging these discouraged women, reminding them that they are not alone, and that our God will strengthen them and give them His peace that passes understanding if they will look to Him.
Please pray – there are ongoing discussions regarding the opportunity to livestream the Fully Equipped Bible Institute courses into the prisons as an opportunity for education and empowerment for a brighter future. Please join us in prayer in this regard, as Dr. Steve will be ministering in the men’s prison tomorrow as the guest of International Great Faith Ministries and Pastor Paul Gidudu. Dr. Steve will also be visiting an orphanage and then meeting with the youth from the orphanage separately to encourage them in their faith and discuss an empowering path in the future through the Fully Equipped Bible Institute.

Dr. Steve met with Pastor Geofrey, the Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Church in Uganda. He is a student at the Fully Equipped Bible Institute, currently enrolled in the Pastoral and Christian Ministry Program. Pastor Geofrey shares about the great need for access to Christian university training and why it is almost impossible without organizations like the Fully Equipped Bible Institute.
At the invitation of Pastor Geofrey, Dr. Steve met with approximately forty pastors and Christian leaders in his rural area – most who arrived on foot in a rainstorm. Dr. Steve was able to pray, encourage, and listen to their challenges. All of these courageous leaders are experiencing persecution, and there is grave concern over the pending legislation that will force their churches to close if the pastors do not have bachelor’s degrees. In neighboring Rwanda, almost 10,000 churches have already been closed, and leaders in Uganda fear their churches will be next, as property has already been seized and converted into mosques.
