For Immediate Release
Almost half of the world’s Christians reside in Africa, and thousands of Africans come to faith daily. Meanwhile, a crisis of epic proportions is brewing. Increasing government regulation has closed almost 10,000 churches, and hundreds of thousands of churches across Africa are at risk of government closure. Dr. Stephen Isaac, Vice President of Academic Affairs at the Fully Equipped Bible Institute, is on the ground in Africa, meeting with pastors and Christian leaders in nations where church regulation legislation is pending.
Why is Our Online Bible College so Important?
Our online Bible college meets an urgent need in developing countries where increasing control and persecution is shutting churches down when pastors don't have bachelor's degrees. Our online bachelor's degrees are affordable and accessible when pastors once considered it impossible to get the education they urgently need.
What Does a Scholarship Do?
People ask us what changes if someone sponsors a scholarship for a student serving in a developing nation. Â Quite honestly, it is not an understatement to say that your sponsorship could actually be what keeps the doors of a church open, and give a pastor the legal right to continue pastoring in his country.
In Pastor Geofrey's situation, legislation is pending to require pastors to have bachelor's degrees or their churches will be closed. Â As Pastor Geofrey explains, rural pastors in Uganda can't afford to go to college, and they can't afford to be away from their churches and families. Â The Fully Equipped Bible Institute is an answer to their prayers!
