03.02.26 - Weekly Prayer Points

Background:

Drs. Steve and Vickie recently returned from Botswana.  After meeting with pastors and a highly placed government official, it has become evident that Botswana’s churches are at risk of government censure and closure if pastors do not have a bachelor’s degree in theology.

The government official we met with stated that it is ,”Do or die time for Botswana’s churches.”  He believes that the meeting with Drs. Steve and Vickie was divinely ordained and that God has a crucial role for the Fully Equipped Bible Institute to play to equip pastors with online bachelor’s degrees in theology to keep church doors open and strengthen the Christian leadership in Botswana.

Drs. Steve and Vickie are planning a return visit to Botswana in early June to hold a pastor’s forum to help make pastors aware of the pending regulations.  Most African pastors are unable to afford bachelor’s degree in theology, or leave their families and churches to go into the cities where universities are located.  We will offer the online bachelor’s degree in theology through the Fully Equipped Bible Institute as a solution to their need to earn a degree to keep their churches open.

Specific Prayer Requests

  • The creation of a pastoral network through which to work through in Botswana.
  • God’s timing in orchestrating the Pastor’s Forum in Botswana.
  • The Holy Spirit to impart urgency to the pastors to move forward and enroll in a bachelor’s degree in theology for their further equipping and the protection of their churches from government regulation and closure.
  • Financial provision for the travel funds to Africa from the U.S.
  • Financial provision to provide scholarships for qualified Botswana pastors who do not have the necessary funds.
