Africa is the last Christian continent. Persecution and church closures are rising. Pastors and churches across Africa are facing increasing pressure and persecution from governments and radical extremists.  Nigeria is the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian right now.

25% of African nations have passed or pending legislation that can lead to governments closing churches —especially when pastors do not hold recognized credentials such as a bachelor’s degree in theology. Rwanda has already closed over 10,000 churches. 

95% of pastors globally have no formal theological education, leaving them and their congregations vulnerable to false teaching and conversion to false religions.

The Need

25%:  Stop church closures by providing qualified pastors scholarships to earn their theology degree online. Most African pastors cannot afford the education and can’t leave their churches to go to the cities where universities are.

50,000: New believers are coming to Christ every day in Africa.  Who will pastor them?

How We Meet
The Need

As God provides the funds for scholarships, the Fully Equipped Bible Institute (FEBI) equips qualified pastors in at-risk nations with academically recognized, biblically sound, and immediately applicable education that leads to a bachelor’s degree completion.  The U.S. degree should protect the pastors and churches from forced government closures.

Investing in biblical training for pastors produces long-term Kingdom impact that is crucial to the future of the global Church. 

  • Immediate Multiplication: Pastors apply what they learn right away. Deeper faith and biblical depth protect against false teaching, which has caused tremendous damage in Africa.
  • Community Transformation: Discipleship impacts families, communities, and nations.In areas of persecution, believers are forgiving their persecutors and ministering to them, rejoicing as the persecutor becomes a believer.
  • Long-term Resilience: As pastors, believers, and churches grow stronger in faith through sound doctrine and biblical discipleship, hope, courage, and witnessing about Christ transform individuals, churches, communities, and nations even when daily life is very difficult.
