WE MUST STRENGTHEN AND EQUIP PASTORS
SERVING IN DANGEROUS PLACES
Please pray for pastors and churches serving in nations where Christians are facing increasing persecution and danger.
Pastor White from Uganda recently sent a prayer request concerning his church, which was bulldozed to the ground. Here is what he shared:
“We discovered that the plot was from the Muslims who influenced the authorities to demolish the church with a strategy to scatter us, believing that when we fail to develop the place, they construct the mosque, and they move in while laughing and telling people that they have finished us. But as I speak, we have taken a step of faith by making bricks. So far, we have 600 blocks made by church members.”
Despite what happened, Pastor White and his congregation are choosing to stand in faith. They are rebuilding, one step at a time, refusing to allow persecution to have the final word.
His story is just one example of what pastors and believers are facing in difficult and dangerous places around the world. In some nations, Christians are being threatened, churches are being destroyed, and governments are putting restrictions in place that make it increasingly difficult for churches to operate.
We have also identified eight additional nations where pastors are serving in particularly challenging circumstances. In some of these places, legislation is being considered that could force churches to close if pastors do not possess a bachelor’s degree in theology—something that is simply not accessible to many pastors serving in these communities.
Would you please join us in praying for these pastors, their families, and their congregations? Most of all, please pray that these pastors would remain steadfast in their faith and that their congregations would continue to stand strong, even in the face of persecution.

- Strength, courage, and wisdom as the pastors and leaders we equip deal with such difficult and dangerous challenges.
- God to provide the financial resources to reach our 2026 goal of providing scholarships for ten pastors in eight at-risk African nations, where legislation has passed or is pending to close churches where pastors do not hold bachelor’s degrees in theology. Remember, Rwanda has already closed 10,000 churches!
