URGENT PRAYER REQUEST: CHURCHES IN HAITI

We’re asking you to stop and pray with us today for the Church in Haiti.

In late August, an armed gang attacked a church in Kenscoff, near Port-au-Prince, that was sheltering families who had already fled earlier violence. Dozens of lives were lost, including children, and many more were taken captive. It’s one of the most devastating attacks on a church community we’ve seen reported in recent memory.

This isn’t an isolated incident. Gangs now control the majority of Haiti’s capital, and churches across the city have been forced to close their doors simply to keep their people safe. Pastors, priests, and church leaders are being targeted — not despite their faith, but because of it. Local leaders describe the Church as one of the last places of moral and social stability left standing, which is exactly why it’s under attack.

Close to our hearts: we have not been able to reach one of our pastors in Haiti, Pastor Paul (name changed for for safety reasons) for several days. We don’t yet know why, and we’re asking you to hold him and his family in prayer alongside us until we do.
