STAND FIRM IN FAITH
We have had an exciting month witnessing God open remarkable ministry opportunities! Because of what we are learning from pastors serving in difficult, dangerous places around world, we are more committed than ever to equip these courageous men and women of God.
Here is a brief update. Nigeria is considered the most dangerous nation in the world for Christians. We have just enrolled pastors serving there. The Prime Minister of India plans to establish India as a Hindu nation. As a result, persecution of Christians in India is on the rise, including the recent murder of a pastor. We have enrolled many pastors from India, but there are many more waiting for sponsors so they can be trained. Persecution is also on the rise in the Philippines. Pastors are being targeted under false pretenses and charged with serious crimes. God has opened the doors for us to equip pastors in the Philippines.
In each of the above examples, the pastors we have enrolled are working tirelessly with extremely limited resources. In the Philippines, a generous donor not only provided scholarships but also a sponsorship to cover the costs of internet services. With incomes ranging between $600 to $6,000 USD annually, our dedicated brothers and sisters are looking at what IS possible and accomplishing it, instead of focusing on what they do not have. It is such a joy to provide formal, biblical education that they eagerly desire but until now had no access to.
We covet your prayers for wisdom as we expand our program offerings and move towards accreditation. Please also pray with us regarding funding. There is so much need – pastors in underdeveloped nations are truly hungry for formal biblical education. Our spotlight of Nigerian Pastors Sam and Athonia illustrates the need. Please consider sponsoring courageous pastors serving in difficult places. There are literally thousands of pastors who urgently need access to biblical education “so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:17), and in turn, strengthen and equip the believers they serve, helping them to stand firmly despite the dangers and difficulties.

ABORTION
This is a polarizing issue with strong opinions and emotions on both sides of the abortion issue. God’s Word is clear in both Old and New Testament passages that God’s plans for human beings begin before they are born!
“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’Jeremiah 1:4-5
The enemy’s crafty deception revolves around a woman’s right to decide about what happens to her body. If abortion was not the question, we would agree that the government should not be involved in women’s health decisions. The issue becomes a social one instead of a moral issue when framed this way.
As believers discuss this issue, the discussion should be framed around the life of the baby. With few exceptions, there is agreement that babies should be loved and kept safe. Because God’s Word tells us that life begins in the womb, and that murder is wrong, a loving Scriptural response is crucial.
Most of us know a few of the millions of wounded women who carry horrible burden of guilt for ending their unborn child’s life. Studies have shown much higher suicide rates and psychological hospital admissions for women who have had abortions. They need to be lovingly led to seek God’s forgiveness and restoration.

Abortion creates at least two victims – the unborn baby and the woman who has to live with her decision. Because the issue is a hot button topic, now is the time to share God’s heart on the matter. Each month we add new, free Bible study resources to the Fully Equipped Bible Institute website. We recently conducted a survey of thousands of U.S. pastors. Our survey illustrated that many of our pastors are stressed and exhausted. This month, our resource focuses on the Perseverance Promises of God. You don’t have to be a pastor to be encouraged by this collection of verses. We pray they strengthen you!
Please don’t forget about Nigerian Pastors Sam and Athonia. Can you help provide formal biblical training for them? It costs $50 per month per person, so we need $100 per month to sponsor their education.
We also have fifteen pastors serving in rural areas of India immediately in need of scholarships for the Sept. 6th fall semester, with another 235 Indian pastors waiting. The doors are also opening in other African nations.
The need for formal biblical education is great for our brothers and sisters faithfully serving in dangerous places. We are only limited by funding, so please be as generous as you can, and remember that it is tax deductible!
